IMAG0299We are finally on face book! Hopefully this will help friends and customers follow what’s fresh from Meusch Farms.  You can find us at Meusch Farms LLC.

This week at the Downtown Rolla Saturday Farmers Market we will have our first strawberries and more tomatoes have been coming ripe. We have a good variety of fresh veggies, beef, pork, chicken and eggs.

Much needed rain!

We finally got some much needed rain.  It has been more like mid-June than the first week of May.   The produce continues to pick up week by week and this week we will be adding radishes, broccoli and Chinese cabbage green to our Farmers Market offerings.  Next week will have tomatoes and cucumbers!  Hopefully any rain tomorrow will hold off until the afternoon.

This week

The last couple weeks at the farmers market have been great.  Hopefully folks won’t let the chance of a little rain keep them from coming to the market this week.  Meusch Farms continues to have produce coming in and this week we will have spinach, kale, lettuce mix, chard, mint, green onions, green garlic, bean sprouts and some asparagus.  We’ll also have our eggs (chicken and duck), beef, pork and chicken.  We look forward to seeing people downtown on Saturday!

Great Greens!

Spring greens are coming on strong, and this week Meusch Farms has a great selection.  We have spinach, kale and a great lettuce/salad mix.  Our tomatoes are going strong and the garden is growing, so we are really looking forward to this market season.

We also have plenty of eggs (both chicken and duck), as well as our grass-fed beef, pork and chicken.

We hope to see you Downtown this Saturday at the Farmers Market.

Beautiful Spring Weather

It is going to be beautiful Spring weather for the official Downtown Rolla Saturday Farmers Market opener tomorrow.  Meusch Farms will be setting up with a selection produce including: leaf spinach, , whole spinach, baby kale, baby cabbage greens, chard, and bean sprouts.  We will also have our grass-fed beef, pork, sausages, and chicken.  We have plenty of free-range chicken and duck eggs as well.  We hope to see you Downtown on Saturday Morning.

Farmers Market Opener!

After a long, cold winter the farmers market season is finally here.

Meusch Farms will be setting up at the Downtown Rolla Saturday Farmers Market again this year, and like last year we will be starting a week early.  The Market opener is on April 11, but we will be there kicking things off this weekend, April 4.  Produce-wise, we have spinach, baby kale and baby mixed greens.  We will also have our grass-fed beef, pork and chicken, as well as chicken and duck eggs.  We have been super busy planting this spring, so we will have more variety available week by week.  As usual, all our produce is fresh and chemical-free.  Our meats are produced naturally without antibiotics, medications  or artificial hormones.

We look forward to seeing you  downtown this Saturday morning.

Taking orders

Because the farmers market has closed for the season, be have been taking orders for regular drop offs in Rolla.  We have been dropping this off on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at Sharon and Larry Meusch’s (my parents), 1209 Wellington Place.  If you are interested in receiving produce, meats or eggs please get in touch.

Right now we have lettuce, spinach, kale, radishes, a salad mix, chicken eggs, duck eggs, as well as our beef, pork and chicken.

Winter Greens!

Meusch Farms is finished at the Downtown Rolla Saturday Farmers Market for the season. We had a great year and really appreciate how the community (venders and shoppers) came together to make this first year a success.

Although we won’t be setting up Downtown, we will have fresh greens from our high tunnel throughout the winter. We currently have lettuce, spinach, radishes, and kale – with more on the way.

We will also continue to have our grass-fed beef, natural pork, eggs and poultry available all winter.

People can come out to the farm or get on our list for weekly drops in Rolla.

Busy, busy, busy!

It has been a couple of months since I have sit down and written a post!  This isn’t due to a lack of activity on the farm, far from it.  We have been busier than ever.

First of all I would like to thank all of our great customs for their support over the summer at the farmers market.  We had a great summer and have become more motivated to do even better next year.

We are currently making plans to finish up our last groups of hogs  and lambs for the season and are extremely pleased how well everything has turned out.   The sheep have been a great addition to our diet and our farm, they are delicious and fun to have around.

We are still selling at the Downtown Farmers Market on Saturdays until the end of the Oct., so come down at see us. Our produce to about gone for the season, but we fully stocked with beef, pork and chicken right now, as well as both chicken and duck eggs.   We have good supply of Cornish-cross broilers on hand and will soon be processing some more stew hens, so its a good time to stock up on chicken for the winter!

Although we are temporarily out of most produce, we have several plantings underway and hope to have more available in the coming weeks.  Things in the works include spinach, lettuce, radishes, broccoli, arugula etc.  Keep us in mind for your fresh green veggies over the winter!

Bacon, brats and green beans

We finally have our bacon and have restocked all of our sold out brats.  Come on down and get them while you can.  We’ll also have our grass-fed beef, farm fresh pork, pastured poultry and eggs, and dressed rabbits

This has been a big week for green  beans.  Conditions have been favorable and the beans look great.  They are a lot of work to pick, but fresh, chemical-free beans are hard to beat!

Produce-wise this week, we’ll have more of  Iddo’s tomatoes and teaming up with the Miller Family Farm to offer:

– green beans

– kale

– chard

– carrots

– beets

– cucumbers

– zucchini

– cabbage

– onion

– broccoli

– this and that

We hope to see you Downtown on Saturday!
